🏊💚 Makos Swim-a-Thon Fundraiser 💚🏊 Help support the Makos Swim Team while cheering on your swimmer! Our Swim-a-Thon Fundraiser will take place during practice on June 26. Swimmers will challenge themselves to swim as many laps as they can while raising funds to support the team and raise money for needed team funds. Swimmers will ask for a flat donation fee not per lap but will need to have a goal of laps they would like to swim. 📅 Swim-a-Thon: June 26 We encourage each swimmer to seek support from family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Every donation—whether large or small—helps strengthen our program and provides resources that benefit all of our swimmers. This is a fun opportunity for swimmers to set goals, challenge themselves, and make a positive impact on the future of the Makos Swim Team. Swim Team Fellowship Night Join us for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship at the Powells' home! 📍 2580 Gumtree Road, Forest, VA Please bring graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows, drinks. This will be a potluck-style gathering. Come enjoy a relaxing evening with fellow swim team families as we kick off the season together. It's a great opportunity to connect with other parents, swimmers, and coaches outside of practice. Families are welcome! We look forward to seeing you there. |

All swim families from Junior Makos all the way up to the Senior Makos are invited to this season's kick-off event! Whether you are new to swimming or a veteran, this event will give you a FUN introduction (or a refresher) on how a swim meet is conducted and explain all the volunteer roles that make that happen. Come get to know the other swimmers, families, board members, and our fantastic coaching staff! We'll conduct a few sample races and maybe even convince a coach or two to join in! Memories and friendships, not just skills and endurance, are forged on a summer swim team, so come get to know your swim family! |
